Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP filed a proposed class-action shareholder lawsuit on behalf of anyone who purchased BigBand Networks Inc. securities since the company's IPO on March 15, 2007. The lawsuit seeks to pursue remedies under the Securities Act of 1933.

The complaint alleges BigBand violated the Securities Act, and that company insiders including the CEO, CFO and CTO knowingly published misleading and false statements about the company's financial health and product offerings.

RECENT DEVELOPMENTS:

September 22, 2009 - Today the Court entered final judgment in the BigBand Networks securities litigation. The Judge granted final approval of the settlement finding it fair, reasonable and adequate.

The Judge certified the class consisting of all individuals or entities that purchased BigBand common stock from the company's IPO on March 15, 2007 through Oct. 30, 2007.

June 1, 2009 - On May 28, 2009, the court signed signed an order preliminarily approving a settlement in the BigBand securities case.

The court certified a class consisting of all persons or entities who purchased common stock of BigBand pursuant or traceable to BigBand's March 15, 2007, Initial Public Offering Prospectus and Registration Statement or on the open market from March 15, 2007 through Oct. 30, 2007.

A settlement fairness hearing is scheduled for Sept. 15, 2009, at 1 p.m. The hearing will determine whether the settlement terms are fair, reasonable and adequate for the class.

February 14, 2008 - Today the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California appointed Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro as co-lead counsel for the class in the case against BigBand Networks.

The judge also consolidated all similarly filed cases against BigBand and assigned all future proceedings to her courtroom. Judge Armstrong consolidated a total of five cases. To view the related case order document please click here.
